We recognized several years ago that, with cross-border investing in equities doubling every three years, the global demand by both retail and institutional investors to effortlessly trade equities across international borders would continue to grow. SE Global also understood and recognized the growing demand from international investors for software that would allow them to make "real time" trades in the US equities market. These investors are demanding this capability and the sophisticated technical analysis and charting technology that comes with it.

Several major obstacles have been holding back the speed at which non-US investors have been able to take advantage of cross border trading. Significant obstacles also restricted the availability of this new trading software in countries outside of the US.

The obstacles to cross-border trading included high transaction costs; the lack of information on foreign companies and economies; as well as the associated delays that came with placing orders through traditional channels. Although several large international brokerage firms do offer clients the ability to trade in a limited number of international markets, the layered cost structure associated with cross-border trading often resulted in these firms charging high transaction fees to complete these trades.

We also recognized that many countries around the world do not have access to high bandwidth Internet connection. With many of the existing US based "real time" trading software companies requiring high bandwidth connections to function properly, it became clear that without a solution to this problem, active investors in these countries would not be able to enjoy the many advantages that this software can offer. SE Global's sophisticated and powerful direct access trading platforms available, with its low bandwidth requirements, solves this problem and opens up a world of opportunities for us.
